Monthly Meeting

March 28, 2007
New Shingle work on the parsonage is to start this weekend, the 31st. The State of Society Report was read and approved by Monthly Meeting. A request for membership has been received and a Clearness Committee has been appointed. Allen's Neck Meeting and Ministry and Counsel request feed back concerning the annual review of our ministry, specifically the Pastor's work. Please contact Steve Tripp and Jim Murphy for input. Two doors will be weather stripped to cut down on the noise transfer. Peace and Social Concerns Committee will include Westport Meeting and we hope that Westport will be involved with us in the future Summer Conversations. Peter will lead a workshop in July at Friends General Conference in Wisconsin. Allen's Neck Family Weekend including Quaker Education may be held on Labor Day weekend at Friend's Camp in China, Maine. Annual Retreat for Pastors and Elders will be held at Powell House in April; Peter and a few others from our Meeting plan to attend. Building and Grounds reported that those using the building should be responsible for disposal of their trash. This includes those in charge of hospitality each Sunday. This committee would be interested in suggestions as to whether to install a more permanent type of traffic/parking signs. A Memorial Minute will be prepared for Ila Gonet by Sharon Wypych. Ann Mason has agreed to take over the duties of Cradle Roll from Claire Acheson, who has served faithfully for many years.
