Afghans for the Homeless
Every third Tuesday of the month ( April 17th for this month), the Afghan Group meets at the Meetinghouse at 6:30. This is a group that enjoys an evening together making squares which will eventually be put together to make blankets for the homeless, mostly children and their mothers who are suddenly without a home. The group knits and crochets squares while enjoying each other's company. Everyone is welcome whether or not you can knit or crochet. There are plenty of supplies on hand as well as expert knitters who are glad to help out beginners. The group has already made ten blankets and eight more are ready for delivery. See Diana Mendes if you have questions, or just come to the Meetinghouse on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30.
