The "Summer Conversations " series will resume on June 14th at 6:30 PM (not 7 as previously announced) at the Apponegansett Meetinghouse, 850 Russell's Mills Road, South Dartmouth, MA. The 'Conversations' will take place every other Thursday throughout the summer. They will include six sessions covering climate change and what might be done about it under the umbrella title, "Cooler Living in a Warmer World."
The June 14th evening will feature a lecture and slideshow by Nantucket resident Keith Bergman who is a regional coordinator for former Vice President Al Gore's Climate Project initiative. Mr. Bergman will share some of the latest science on Global Warming and discuss options available to combat it.
Those attending might like to bring cusions, as the seats in the Meetinghouse are wooden planks, very hard. In keeping with the "Going Green Theme" our "Comfort Station" is the original one built with the Meetinghouse.
