Our third Summer Conversation was attended by over one hundred people. After a brief tour of the expansive garden, Henry Wainer showed a video of the farm and discussed various methods of farming and the history of the Sid Wainer & Sons Farm. His talk was followed by Corby Kummer who discussed the value of "Slow Food".
The next Summer Conversation will be held Thursday, July 26 at the Apponegansett Meetinghouse at 6:30 PM. John Moskal of the EPA's New England Regional Office will present a far ranging talk about the challenges and possibilities for reducing energy use in homes, businesses, and communities. He will discuss the latest technologies available, the policy changes needed, and the chances for success in the current political climate.
