Our sixth and final Summer Conversation will be held on Thursday, August 23, at 6:30 PM at the Apponegansett Quaker Meetinghouse at 850 Russells Mills Road in South Dartmouth.
The topic will be: Climate Change in Costal New England
John Hobbie, Senior Scientist at the Woods Hole Marine Biology Laboratory, will discuss the latest climate research targeting our region. He will present facts, predictions, and recommendations from the Union of Concerned Scientists' soon-to-be-completed report, "Climate Change in the Northeast". Hobbie will focus particularly on what changes might be expected in coastal areas in coming years.
