Memorial Minutes were approved for Beverly Glennon and for David Bird. Ministry and Counsel requests that everyone should attempt to enter Sunday worship by 9 AM. Peter Crysdale, Polly Harrison and Steve Tripp will prepare a draft of our annual State of Society Report to present at Monthly Meeting. Ministry and Counsel has contacted people who no longer attend worship regularly. Meeting approved of laying down our Health Ministry Committee, and having its duties assumed by a subcommittee of Ministry and Counsel. Meeting minuted its thanks to Carol and Cindy for all their years of work on this committee. Peace and Social Concerns announced plans for its first Winter Conversation for the new year, on Sunday, January 6th; the topic of gambling has been tentatively chosen for the date. Again this year, we are collecting men's extra large winter socks to give to the Men's Shelter. Heather Reed will contact the Funeral Consumers Alliance to see when they might be available to come and speak to us. Cindy Tardif reported on the October session of Sandwich Quarterly Meeting. The Building and Grounds Committee was asked to replace posts a the entrance to the Clambake Grounds. An old Clambake poster will be framed and hung in the Meetinghouse. The Parsonage Committee reported that all the windows at the Parsonage have been measured, and new ones are being made in Fall River. Peter Crysdale is preparing to lead the Bible Half-Hours at New England Yearly Meeting in August, on the theme of war and the Quaker Peace Testimony; he wants to talk about this topic with people in the Allen's Neck Community. Peter will be leading a Quaker retreat in California at the end of December. A request from the older children in our First Day School for a basketball hoop to be mounted on our chnimney was rejected due to safety issues and the exclusion of younger children. The Christian Education Committee reported plans for the First Day School's annual Christmas Pageant on Sunday, December 23rd at 9 AM, during worship; this will be followed by a breakfast afterward. Organist Sharon Wypych invites anyone interesting in singing Christmas Songs and hymns to join her after worship at the organ on Sundays until 2 PM.

The Nominating Committee, wishing to foster a fresh and vital experience in all committee work, would like to encourage a regular rotation of positions. This should afford all involved the opportunity to share their gifts, ministerial and otherwise. To this end, we suggeste a period of three to five years of service in hopes of allowing those new to Quaker business practice to share the work with seasoned Friends.
The Nominating Committee wil be meeting on December 16th, and would like to hear from anyone interested in a position.
