The Allen's Neck Library is a fine repository for Quaker and South Eastern Massachusetts history books and current literature of interest to the Community and to the Meeting. Soon we will have an enlarged collection of books which will be shelved for easy browsing and borrowing to read.
The four or five accession lists have been alphabetized according to author and duplicates discarded. Juvenile books have been placed on the bottom two shelves on the east wall. We'll have a map of the library's general arrangement available in the library and "indicating" labels placed on a few shelves to guide people around the rest of the library. We encourage people to use the library "tentatively" until we can get all of our books relabeled, as long as you leave us a card with the book's author and title, your name and phone number for each book you borrow.
The Library Committee tries to meet every other Thursday between 10:00 am and noon in the library. We appreciate visitors; Heather Reed was one of our recent visitors and gave us much needed help. We would enjoy seeing/hearing from anyone interested in the Allen's Neck Friends Monthly Meeting's Library.
