Bill Reed presided as clerk. There were twenty-one people in attendance. Pastor’s Report: Peter asks that the members of the meeting consider the possibility of using a common fundraising instrument known as a “Charitable Gift Annuity” to help raise funds for the meeting. Members interested should speak to the finance committee. Peter reported that Jose Pena will be visiting from Cuba on Monday, March 29. The Meeting will hold a potluck dinner with him at 6 PM on that day. Ministry and Counsel: Daphne Clement of Georgia has written a letter asking for consideration as an interim minister. The opinions expressed by members and attenders at the recent open meetings will be reviewed next month. The committee has received two new applications for membership. New brochures have been placed in the racks in the front hall. Peace and Social Concerns: Winter Conversations continue - March 7 at 3 pm will be the Suzuki Diaries. Peter Pereira of the Standard Times will be giving a presentation of Haiti at the Macomber Community House in Westport on Sunday, April 11, at 3 pm. Meeting approved the purchase of ten copies of One’ Respe’ to sell at the presentation, with the money to be returned to the meeting for each copy sold. Religious Education : The committee continues to look for a way to keep both our younger and older children engaged. The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 3 at 11 AM. Finance Committee: Recording Clerk, Stan Stopka reiterates his request for forecasts from the various committees for next year. Building and Grounds: The Meeting has asked the committee to finalize a proposal for the installation of new windows in the social hall. Jim Munger presented guidelines for applying for a grant from the Town of Dartmouth Preservation Committee. The committee encourages members to consider what we want for the building, looking forward, considering the possibility of applying for such a grant.
