Minutes from Monthly Meeting for Business October 24 , 2010
Ministry & Counsel: Meeting approved of Betsy’s Acheson’s request to be a sojourning member of Sarasota (Florida) Friend’s Meeting. Meeting approved of $500 to be spent on the search for a new pastor. Ways & Means: The first of the season’s suppers will be held at 4 pm on November 7. The cost of suppers will increase from $9 to $10. Christian Education: The committee has met with the parents of the older children and are drafting a job description for a potential youth pastor. Parsonage: Ann Mason reported on Keith and Lauren Donnelly and on the work they have done at the parsonage thus far.
The Meeting has a concern regarding lead paint in the parsonage. As such, the Meeting has asked the Parsonage Committee to meet this month and report back to the Monthly Meeting with a plan to address this issue.
Meeting approved the use of the building for the Allen’s Neck Community Club on December 4 for their annual tea. Meeting approved the use of the social hall for the SouthCoast home schooling group to meet for a potluck on November 4, and for not more than 2 afternoons in November, provided that Diana Mendes will be present at each meeting. Future use of the hall by this group will be determined. Meeting approved the use of the social hall for a private birthday party on Saturday November 13th.
