Notes from Monthly Meeting for Business: 6/28/06 Parsonage Committee reported that the gas range in parsonage was replaced with a new one since the cost of repairing the old one was expensive. Ways and Means reported the income of $603 from the recent Flea Market. The cook out planned by the First Day School for June 25th was canceled due to rain and is rescheduled for September. Peace & Social Concerns announced that the Summer Conversations are well attended and will continue during the Summer; the next one is June 29th, 7 PM. A Fairloom fund raiser will be held at the end of July. Fairloom pieces are now on line at: www.fairloom.org/products. The Kakamega Project has unused tuition funds which Peace and Social Concerns is considering donating to Schools Garden fund. The Library Committee received a donation from the Almy Family which was used to purchase books in memory of Virginia Morrison. Meeting approved Charles H and Dawn S as new members of the Finance Committee. Meeting also approved of up to $1500 for the annual fund drive expenses since mailing will no longer be done for free and Ways and Means plans to triple the number of letters sent out. Those interested in any changes or additions to this solicitation letter should contact Richard M before July 19th Finance Committee Meeting. The Meeting approved rehiring the Pastor for another year with a $2,000 increase in total compensation; Meeting agreed to ask Finance Committee to draw up guide lines involved in any request for using the Meetinghouse. Inter-Church Council representatives, Charles H, Carol M and Tom A attended the Annual Meeting, June 8. Meeting approved giving ICC $200 as our annual contribution. |
We Hold in the Light
Tricia, whose husband, Greg, is hospitalized for severe bee stings. Tricia was the Executive Secretary for Allen"s Neck Meeting in the early 1980s.Perry, high school graduation. Lindelles grandson, Tillys great grandson.
Coffee Hour
Coffee hour after Meeting has been wonderful. The Hospitality Committee (Polly H, Charlotte M, Dawn S, and Bill and Heather) thank all of you who graciously pitch in and help us each Sunday.
Each month members of the committee will be asking people to volunteer to serve refreshments.
