U.S. Army Maj. Michael C. McCurry has done three tours in Iraq, including one with Operation Desert Storm and two with Operation Iraqi Freedom. Most recently he commanded a combat cavalry unit, and did a large amount of civil affairs work in the Sunni Triangle .
