Notes from Monthly Meeting for Business 5/24/06 Meeting approved of raising the contribution to Yearly Meeting from $400 to $412 for a total of $4,944 per year. First Day School will run through the summer. Cookout for the entire Meeting has been scheduled for June 25. Ministry and Counsel is receiving comments evaluating the minister and his ministry. The Pastors contract is being rewritten to be more accurate concerning his schedule. Smithfield Monthly Meeting has invited the Pastor and members to attend their Meeting for worship on Sunday, June 18. Our Pastor has joined the Sessions Committee of New England Yearly Meeting to improve chances of new people to be educated about Quakerism. Peter will be away on two Sundays: June 25 and July 2 , plus the time in between those two dates. Bill R is the clerk of the newly organized Finance Committee. Building and Grounds announced that the three portable room dividers stored in the front hall will be placed in the Flea Market on June 10. New curtains will be donated to the Social Hall. Monthly Meeting accepted with regret the resignation of Dick and Don from Buildings and Grounds Committee after many years of hard work, including hard labor, maintaining the buildings and grounds at the Meetinghouse as well as at the Clambake Site. |

From the records of the Allens Neck Sabbath School:
Dartmouth, Mass.9th Month, 4th, 1887
The proposal was made that a clambake be held for the school, upon which a vote was taken. Decided that it be held on the ensuing Friday at Horseneck Beach; a comm. Were appointed and the necessary business transacted.
