Notes from Monthly Meeting for Business – 2/22/06

Meeting approved a request from New England Yearly Meeting to use our Meetinghouse on Saturday, April 29th, for a Clerking Workshop. Our Ministry and Counsel Committee is working on a draft of our annual State of Society Report to present to Monthly Meeting next month. Ministry and Counsel is also conducting another series of classes on Quakerism, at 4PM on the last Sundays of February, March and April, with each one followed by a potluck supper; childcare will be provided. Peter  will donate a telephone answering machine for us to use at the Meetinghouse, with a message about our Meetings for Worship and First Day School, also including instructions to call the Parsonage phone number for further information or if in need of help. Nominating Committee presented a draft job description for a Finance Committee; Meeting approved of allowing the Nominating Committee to seek people to serve on the new Finance Committee. The new 2006 Directory of Allen’s Neck Friends Meeting will be available soon; see Sharon if you have any additions or corrections to the working draft which wil be posted at the Meetinghouse for the next couple of weeks.
